"Dramatic B&W" Photo Challenge

I recently joined up with the wonderful community at iheartfaces. I decided to enter in this week's challenge with one of my favourite photos of my kids. This was captured last Mother's Day when we had a wonderful long lunch at a local winery. The kids had an absolute ball there, meandering amongst all the rambling vines. I actually had this photo done on a canvas for my wall & each time I look at it I am reminded of that lovely day:

PS. I have no idea how to make this appear bigger (other than clicking on it of course), novice to blogging that I am!

I'm back!

Well apparently I'm not the blogger I thought I was going to be!

So much has happened since August 2008...the family has certainly grown, along with my love of taking photographs, so much so that I plan on beginning to portfolio-build this year in preparation for *hopefully* starting a business of my own. I can't think of anything I'd rather do. Some nights I can't even sleep for all the things running around in my head, and then when I do sleep I dream of all things photography! It's bad, but in a good way!

Time to Blog

Thought it time to get with the 21st century & get myself a blog. Somewhere to record thoughts, post pictures as I continue on my long photography learning journey and of course share what we have been up to.

So here goes:

Had the most feral day with Isayah yesterday....his behaviour was the worst I have ever seen (or rather endured!) it and he was only here for like 2 hours! I was not proud of him, nor was I proud of myself and how I handled him. It ended with his cars & trains being confiscated, me ignoring him whilst he slapped and screamed at me (while I thought evil thoughts!) before he finally laid down on the lounge till his father came home. All the while Amalia crawling behind me or clinging to my leg crying! Oh, so not pretty!

But today has been markedly better. He got his cars & trains back after a little sit down chat with me this morning so we'll see what happens.

It's days like that when I think definitely NO MORE KIDS!

In amongst all that I did get this lovely photo of Amalia, so I guess some good came of it!

Anyway, both kids have been having big long arvo naps today whilst I do this so I'd best finish this up & get on & do something domestic.
